Welcome to CyberKids and Cybertots!

Who may use CyberKids?

Children up until the sixth grade may use the CyberKids computers. Those under the age of eight need a grown-up to be with them in the CyberKids room. Preschool children also have their own CyberTots computers in the picture book area of Children's Services with age-appropriate software. Anyone who is in 7th grade and older must use the Cyberspot in the Adult Services Department.

What can I do in CyberKids?

The computers in the CyberKids room have Internet access, games for learning and fun, and a word processing program. Also check out some of these great library resources on the computers:

You can print things from the Internet, or from the word processing program by using your White Plains Public Library card or you may purchase a TracCard downstairs. You can save items onto a disk, and disks may be purchased downstairs at the Circulation desk as well. You cannot use your own software, or use email or chat.

How do I sign up?

To make an appointment on the computers, you'll have to bring your library card and go to the CyberKids room just follow our neon sign! Sessions last for one hour, and you may use the computers twice a day. Reservations can be made up to a week in advance, at the librarian's desk or online.

When can I use the CyberKids?

The Cyberkids computers can be used at anytime during the Library's day and evening hours. They do, however, automatically shut down fifteen minutes before the library's closing hour. Click here to link Library hours.

CyberTots

Cybertots is located in the Early Childhood picture book area. There are two computers with age-appropriate software, a manipulative busy box, puzzles and hand held electronic toys, for children through Kindergarten age.
