A collection of booklets and videos designed by LEAP (Labor Education Action Program) of CSEA (Civil Service Employees of America). These can help individuals prepare for New York State and local government civil service examinations. Each booklet covers one of 26 topics and contains various sample questions intended for practice purposes. They are also available free, online, exclusively for CSEA members and their families. Simply log on to http://www.csealocal1000.org and click on members-only page and then Test Preparation Booklet section, work institute page and then Test Prep books section.

Periodicals

The Library subscribes to hundreds of magazines and newspapers in print and hundreds more online. Of particular interest to civil service jobseekers are: Federal Jobs Digest and The Chief (Civil Employees Weekly). Print copies are available in the Periodicals Department. Online articles can be found through the Online Research section of our website.
