John Rösch Collection
John Rösch, 1854-1949, was a professional photographer and White Plains City Historian from 1935 to 1942. Just prior to his death he bequeathed his scrapbooks, artwork and photographs to the White Plains Public Library. Among these items can be found sketches of turn-of-the-century White Plains, photographs of veterans returning from both World Wars, and other unique items reflecting the history of the City. Much of the material is very fragile.
