Free Live 24/7 " Ask a Librarian" Service begins February 2007

Save Time & Get Your Questions Answered Online, Anytime!

Here's how it works: through the Library's website, log in with your library card number (you must be registered at the White Plains Public Library), and you'll begin a live "chat" session with a professional librarian. You'll watch and participate as the librarian finds precise answers to your questions and "pushes" high quality, authoritative online resources to your screen. At the conclusion of each session, you'll receive a complete transcript of your session, including links to online resources shared, via email. This is just the newest way the Library is fulfilling its long-standing mission to meet the information needs of our community. As technology advances and life-styles change, we're committed to offering more innovative and convenient ways to provide valued services.

"Ask a Librarian" is made possible with gifts to the White Plains Library Foundation. To lend your support, please pick up a donation envelope at any service desk or call (914) 422-1406.
