Singer/trombonist Gerald Carelli and his quartet "Swing Into the Holiday Season" with a celebration of American pop standards, jazz classics and original compositions on Sunday, December 9th at 2:30pm.
Gerard Carelli’s jazz/cabaret act has been showcased at leading jazz venues, including Michael’s Pub, Eighty-Eights, Judy ’s and Danny’s in New York City. He has toured playing trombone for Ray Charles, as well as such leading performers as Rosemary Clooney, Vic Damone, Johnny Mathis and Mel Torme.
Carelli has played for many Broadway shows, including Cats, Starlight Express, Jerome Robbins Broadway and 42nd Street. His CD’s Beautiful Dancer and Lucky to Be Me received airplay on over 200 jazz stations nationwide. The Jazz Times called Carelli "Classy and classic," adding "He not only knows how to swing a vocal...he adds a sweet and low trombone to the mix."
