"THERE’S NO SONG LIKE AN OLD SONG" - A MUSICAL LOOK AT YESTERDAY WITH CABARET SINGER/ACTRESS DIANA TEMPLETON AT WHITE PLAINS LIBRARY
The exciting cabaret singer and actress, Diana Templeton, will present "There’s No Song Like an Old Song, " a musical look at great standards from the 1920's through the 1950's, in a free concert at The White Plains Public Library on Sunday afternoon, November 11th at 2:30pm. She will be accompanied by Rod Derefinko at the piano.
Diana Templeton has been appearing in leading Manhattan cabaret rooms for the past two decades, including Panache, Danny’s Skylight, Don’t Tell Mama, Eighty-Eight’s and Caroline’s. She has sung at the Cabaret Convention at Town Hall and was a guest star at the Singer/Songwriter’s Series at the Russian Tea Room.
She has appeared on network and cable television shows such as The Joe Franklin Show, Prime of Your Life, Cabaret Beat and Cabaret NYC. Her cassette albums, "Be Careful, It’s My Heart" and "Among My Souvenirs" have received critical acclaim.
She has been named a "distinguished artist" of the Beaux Arts Society, and in 1999, was presented by the Society with the Leonardo da Vinci Award as the "Best Female Vocalist of the Year."
