Mental Health Association Presents Friday Lunchtime Film & Discussion Series with the White Plains Public Library.  Series Begins on January 18th.

The Mental Health Association of Westchester will present a four-part Film & Discussion series addressing various aspects of mental health or mental illness and recovery with the White Plains Public Library. The lunchtime programs will take place at the Library on the third Friday of each month from January through April, 2002, with the films beginning at 11:30am and discussion ending at 1pm. Participants are invited to "brown-bag" it and bring their lunch. The Library will provide coffee and tea.

The series opens on January 18th with Day for Night: Recognizing Teenage Depression

The film provides an in-depth look at the signs, symptoms and treatment of teenage depression and bipolar disorder through interviews with teens, their families, and mental health professionals. The discussion will be led by Jessica Prezorski, C.S.W., Clinician, MHA of Westchester, Inc.

The programs in the series are Advance Directives, planning information for Seniors and their families on February 15th, Private Violence - Public Crises, an exploration of family violence on March 15th and The Secret, focusing on child sexual abuse on April 19th.
