New and Reappointed Trustees to Serve on White Plains Public Library Board

The White Plains Common Council has named Fernando Martinez, Executive Director of the SUNY Downstate Medical Center Biotechnology Incubator and father of three, to the White Plains Public Library Board of Trustees. Timothy P. Connors, Superintendent of Schools for the City of White Plains, joins the Board ex-officio.

Reappointed Trustees are Library Board Secretary Don Simmons, Supervisor of the BOCES Sprainbrook Academy and Adult Learning Services at the Westchester County Correction Facility, and P. Lynn Oliva, Projector Coordinator for the Manhasset Bay Protection Committee and former Commissioner of Planning for Westchester County.

President of the White Plains Public Library Board of Trustees is Hope Furth, retired mathematics teacher. Other Board members are Toni Cox-Burns, Janet Elmiger, Campbell Geeslin and Nancy Smith.

The White Plains Public Library Board of Trustees meets in open session at the Library on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.
