President/Secretary

Jeane Garment is a retired book editor, avid reader and library user. She is active in the League of Women Voters and Meals-on-Wheels of White Plains.

Vice President

Yuki Itoh Haynes is a former intellectual property legal assistant who is currently at home raising her two young children. She and her family have been White Plains' residents for more than 10 years, and they are all avid library users.

Treasurer

Eileen Bradley recently retired as Budget Director of the City of White Plains after 30 years of municipal government service during which she received state and national recognition for her work.

James Benerofe is a real estate developer and editor/publisher of Suburban Street News of White Plains.

Carmela Abiuso Curran is a partner at Accenture, a global Management Consulting firm, and has worked extensively with her firm's Diversity Committee. She is married and has two young children in White Plains schools.

Joanne Dresner is President of Pearson Education's English Language Teaching division, and Chairman of Pearson Education Latin America. Pearson Education is the global leader in educational publishing.

Marjorie Feder is a retired White Plains ESL teacher and past president of the White Plains Child Day Care Association.

Barbara R.  Loucks a long-time resident of White Plains, is a former children's overnight camp director and retired retail specialist whose volunteer activities have centered on the education and welfare of youth.

Sandra Miranda is Director of the White Plains Public Library and a former President of the New York Library Association.

Judith Nevins, immediate past president, is retired as Director of the Westchester Mediation Center. She has served on the White Plains Youth Board and the White Plains Human Rights Commission.

G. Frederick Perkins, Jr. has recently retired after 43 years as an international publishing executive with McGraw-Hill, Thomson Learning, and Pearson Education. He is now working as an independent publishing consultant.

John Phelan, Sr. is an Executive Vice President of The O'Connor Group, developer of The Westchester here in White Plains, and a member of the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Construction and Building Management.

Gail Schwartz is a retired middle school teacher and is a volunteer in the education program at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture.

Diane Tabakman heads the People Strategy Company, a small consulting firm. Her background includes executive positions in corporate human resources and fund development. She has served on the boards of several local not-for-profit organizations.

Julie Trelstad is Founder & Publisher of Plain White Press, resides in White Plains with her husband Graham, and twin daughters, Eleanor & Elizabeth. She serves as newsletter editor for the White Plains Beautification Foundation and is President of the White Plains Library Board of Trustees.

Harriet Weissman is Director of the White Plains Library Museum Gallery, a Co-Chair of the Mount Holyoke College capital campaign and former President/Chair of the Neuberger Museum of Art.

Paul Weissman is Managing Director/Emeritus of the investment banking firm of Bear-Stearns & Co., Inc., and is on the Board of Directors of the White Plains Hospital Center and the Grand Street Settlement.

Nicholas Wolff is President and CEO of Century 21 Wolff, White Plains,Thornwood and Yonkers, a life-long White Plains resident and an active community volunteer.
